Monero rose 7.9 percent over seven days and added 1.5 percent in the last 24 hours, reaching $411 with a $7.72 billion market cap. Volume sat at $73.25 million. Its ring-signature design keeps every transaction untraceable, and operators list a standard wait of roughly 20 minutes for ten confirmations.

Zcash and Dash move the other way

Zcash fell 7.4 percent over the same seven-day window and 1.4 percent in 24 hours, trading at $486 on an $8.20 billion market cap. Volume reached $62.75 million. Shielded z-address transfers remain optional and settle in a few minutes.

Dash dropped 6.1 percent in seven days and 1 percent in 24 hours, holding at $30 with a $382.68 million market cap. Volume was $26.21 million. PrivateSend mixing stays optional while InstantSend supports faster deposits.

Regulatory notes this week

  • Malta flagged an unlicensed crypto marketing firm
  • Austria issued its first MiCA penalty of 70,000 euros against Bitpanda
  • Ireland launched a new anti-money-laundering plan aimed at crypto

These items sit alongside the usual privacy-coin deposit notes: Monero for full on-chain obscurity, Zcash for selective shielding, and Dash for optional mixing with quick sends.

XMR volume of $73.25 million outpaced both ZEC and DASH on the day the three coins diverged.

Traders who route privacy coins into no-KYC accounts continue to watch confirmation times and mixing options rather than headline price levels alone.
